The Town of Hamburg had purchased an underutilized BOCES building to repurpose as an Adult Day Care Center, the Administrative wing of the Parks and Recreation Department and a Youth Program which includes separate locker rooms and gym with separate, monitored access from the parking lot. We developed a plan to address all of the program needs keeping the operations separate, upgrades all of the finishes to eliminate the “institutional” look, upgrade the lighting fixtures to make them more attractive and also more energy efficient.
Adult Day Care
Designed to meet the needs of aging seniors with amenities such as TV rooms, game rooms, activity rooms an indoor/outdoor dinning areas, a “quiet room” where people can be monitored, memory walls and a memory room, all handicap accessible.
Adult Community Center
Features: Full serving kitchen and multi-purpose room with a 50’s theme, additional meeting rooms, fitness room, billiards/game room, activity room, gardening room and locker rooms with access to the gym and eventually new therapy pool.
