We provided complete A & E services: programming, schematic design, estimating, code compliance and construction documents. The construction provided approximately 3,500 sf of space on the first floor that is adjacent to the first floor of the existing ambulatory surgery center and 1,200 sf of space on the second floor for support spaces. The availability of the space allowed for the addition of two new operating rooms of 405 sf each. Since the program was providing over 11,000 cases per year, the majority of the rooms are accommodating over 2,000 new cases annually.
The space provided for the location of a new recovery area of four bays. The second floor renovations increased the conference and lunch room space, the male and female change areas, relocated an existing treatment room from the first floor to the second floor, and provided more storage space.
The expansion was staged in a manner that did not interfere with the current operation.
